A low dose Ultra-Helical scan of the thorax was performed with 5 mAs and FIRST, Forward projected model-based Iterative Reconstruction SoluTion.
The image comparison between Filter Back Projection and FIRST showed noise reduction and image quality improvement when demonstrating the ground-glass opacity (GGO) nodules.
A patient underwent lung CT scan with and without iodinated contrast media, AIDR 3D enhanced was integrated to the protocol and automatically applied. SURESubtraction software was utilized post scanning. Extensive pulmonary emboli are seen in the pulmonary arteries in the right lung with associated perfusion defects in the iodine maps. A fluid collection is seen in the left lung.
72-year-old man presented with claudication in both legs. A runoff CT angiogram was requested to visualize the lower limb arteries. The arteries in the distal legs are heavily calcified making diagnosis difficult. The subtracted image with the arterial calcification removed, clearly demonstrates bilateral popliteal artery occlusions with some collateral vessels seen in the left leg.
